Shrooms
And then I got real small... I nearly laid on the ground to shoot these. I have no idea what is in the mulch put down around the trees at work, but we have some very interesting specimens that don't necessarily survive two days in a row. Have not seen any pixies among them yet. I just happened to have my camera in my purse yesterday. Had a nice lunch walk in the cooler weather. Sunhawk soared above, Whistlepig scurried his fat little bottom ahead on my path and I stopped to watch a small snapper swimming in the creek until he was out of view. Everyone seems to be pleased with the cooler days.

What a lovely piece of description Doris and great photos of that amazing fungus!
yes, Doris,
I was watching you from above, as I soared around. Good for you hugging the ground like that. Mama earth is so nurturing in return, don't you think? I find photos composed from this perspective unique and eye-catching.
Love how you open all your senses to nature. There is so much magic in the world.
how a walk does a body and soul wonders...
Those are beauties! You saw lots of good stuff on your walk! Love hearing about it.
