What a great trip to be invited with! Cousin Laura invited me to join some Midwest Collage Society members for a mini workshop with Ingrid Albrecht at her new Ravenswood Gallery in Chicago. Three days learning rolled into one eight hour session. Ingrid is a great teacher and there were so many new techniques to get involved in. She has a gorgeous setting for her gallery and studio. The blue and gold piece is an acrylic and india ink piece, I think it's upside down, but when I viewed the photo it looked better that way. I rather enjoyed the subtractive quality working with india ink on a plexi-glass plate, some new supplies to play around with, soon again I hope. I pulled many prints that are ready to be basis for some additional drawing or painting.

Very cool creations, Doris. Have a dreamy, glowing Autumn feel to them. I see a primitive figure in the lst picture, a window with small Fall leaves adorning it in the second. If monoprints can look like this, I would sure like to play with the process.

Glad you had such a good time Doris, you have a talent for printmaking. Looking forward to seeing what you show next :)
I love your colored print! And we'll have to "finish" some of our prints in some way. I may do a little haiku in brush lettering on one. The ink didn't bleed like I thought it would-well if I don't use too much ink. Sometimes in workshops you come out with nothing and I think with this one, everyone did some fantastic work to take home!
