Back to Tuesday!

Blogger is accepting one image at a time? Or is it again my computer?

It was very nice to have Jordan home from school for the holidays. Her poses Tuesday evening were very introspective and intimate. So easy to imagine a scene playing out on stage. Imagining wonderful backgrounds and settings. So much to do so little time.

Although I felt stronger with the second pose, I seemed to have distorted her right shoulder. New pencils, really needed the new paper I splurged on Wednesday. First pose is on a blue background. I was rushed to photo in the falling snow at vet clinic yesterday before work. Refused to phot blue without flash! So many ideas roaring around in my head with new papers, new oil pastels...

Blogger is really messed up. I was replying to your post "whittling my day away trying to upload pictures". I then got an error, saying Resonance of Doris does not exist.. hit refresh and it came back.. That posting was gone and it was replaced by this with the pictures.

Great drawings, I really like your work in pencil. (Which is not to say that I dislike your other media) Okay, I'll shut up before I put my foot in it.

Now a semi-related off-topic note here. Sunday before Christmas I modeled at Tallgrass. My winter beard is pretty gray so I figured what the heck... brought my Santa hat and wore it for a pose. I thought of you when everybody reached for their colour pencils.

Happy New Year,
Bob

Hapy New Year to you Bob! It was 20years back when David did that sketch of me. I did delete a ranting post after blogger took my photos. far too much work!

Beautiful! I do like the softness and the lights of the top drawing, and the natural pose. It's lovely. (and yes, I was wondering what you were saying about 20 yrs ago - well it's "you" ...still "you". You haven't changed.)

You sound so excited in your post here as you dream of background possibilities, etc., I feel your creative voice really coming out. I'm liking the top pose, she looks so content, so mellow, so like the Buddha, you've really captured emotion. Yet softness with the pencils to convey her softness. I wish you could have sketched Bob in his Santa Hat, bet that would have been neat to see!
