Sailor's Delight

This was taken earlier in the week, but my schedules run far too tight to stay on top of everything! Clearly I need to remove the downed mulberry in my backyard. I had to crouch below it to take this shot, it obscures some beautiful views. Another project for another day.

What amazing colours. The dark silhouetted trees set it off well. Amazing planet we live on isn't it?

I rather like the mulberry tree. It sets off the sunset very well. I like that you continue to crouch, you are really getting some amazing photos that way! Were the dogs watching the sunset too? This image puts me in a meditative mood....

Loving it still dispite having to do more work enjoying the splendor now..

Just popped back to take another look at that beautiful firey sky, such a wonderful shot. Strangely, in the UK we have the phrase "Red sky at night, shepherd's delight; red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning. I'm guessing that it's similar to your "sailor's delight"?

Beautiful picture! Where are your October ones? Just getting back here myself - hope you got my email and hope you had a good birthday! Still writing cards and sending wishes that I missed while away!

Yes Juliea, we use sailor's delight and sailor's warning, interesting, imagine a shepherd would have frantic animals on a stormy night.

Oh, April. Love your new holiday pix. My days have been frantic pace and exhaustion, leading to major chest cold to hit on my birthday! Haven't been able to open your email yet, seems some goblins have attacked my computers.
