I need a river quote!
I was dozing while these pictures uploaded! So done for the day but wanted to share yet more pictures from state park. Here the river's edge allows me to climb rocks and get close enough to the river to inhale it's season. Soon the colors of fall will show...will I make it back so soon?

Thanks again for the delicious pics. I'm right there with you now.
Photos are just beautiful! So enjoyable - each one of them. Have to look for "river quotes"!
I set this blog entry into the back of my mind for a few days thinking of a river quote. When I saw this entry last week, my first thoughts were of the Loggins and Messina song "Watching the River Run". Off and on this week I replayed the song in my head, while occasionally reading your new entries. In this morning's entry (Friday Oct 17), this line jumped right off the page and smacked me up-aside the head.
Pushing myself too hard, never enjoying life as there's too much to fill in each day.
I've been reading about how busy you are but it never consciously set in until I read that. (slow learner) I think now that your river excursions are a getaway from the busyness of life. And it ties into the song at this point.
And it goes on and on, watching the river run,
Further and further from things that we've done,
Leaving them one by one.
Find relaxation were you can Doris, along the river, or in the studio. I know I do.
Now maybe I can get that song out of my head!
